I like watching movies, and I do it quite a bit. I'm not affiliated with the movie industry in any way (by day, I'm an LDAP directory services engineer, and you can find my professional blog at http://www.dirmgr.com/), but it's not unusual for me to see several movies a week. A lot of people ask me what I think about various movies, so I decided to start a blog where I can summarize the movies that I've seen.
A couple of disclaimers about the content here:

Unless otherwise noted, it's safe to assume that I paid full price for each movie ticket (and when I go to the Alamo Drafthouse, an additional amount for food), or I've gotten access to a movie as part of a film festival. I'm certainly not being paid to see movies, nor to give my opinion on them.

If I see a movie, it's generally because I wanted to see it. Even though I see a lot of movies, I'm actually pretty picky about what I want to see, and there are lots of big movies that I've skipped because it didn't look like something I would enjoy.
- I started this blog on January 1, 2010. If a movie has come out since then and isn't on this list, then it's either because I either haven't seen it or because I haven't gotten around to writing about it yet. I probably won't go back and review movies that came out before 2010.
