Mel Gibson plays Thomas Craven, a Boston police officer. His daughter Emma (Bojana Novakovic) has just come home for a visit when they are ambushed outside of his house and his daughter is shot and killed. Initially, everyone thinks that Thomas was the intended target, but as he starts to look into things more closely, it starts to look more and more like Emma was the one they were after. Emma has a degree in nuclear engineering from MIT. She just got a job working as a researcher at Northmoor Industries, a private company with DoD contracts to investigate nuclear energy, but it's looking like maybe there is something more sinister going on.
I was a little disappointed with this movie. It did have a decent amount of action, but it lacked the intensity of a movie like Taken, and the fight scenes didn't seem to last long enough. It also wasn't very original, and there were a lot of similarities to other conspiracy-type movies like Conspiracy Theory and Shooter (both of which I liked more), and I found Mel Gibson's accent kind of annoying.
